Contemplative Art for August 22nd Earth: The Original Icon Nature is a holy text for many of us, and an icon is a window to the Divine Presence around us. What better time than late summer to celebrate the beauty of Earth, to give thanks, and then to offer our art back to Earth. In our contemplative art-making we will create an “Earth Icon” in the form of an altar or shrine, using only the natural elements found outdoors as our media. Earth Art is temporary; thus, the process will have a creating stage and a letting go stage. Both parts of the ritual are important and laden with rich metaphors for the full circle of life. Elements for your icon will be provided, but feel free to collect your own natural materials before leaving home or come prepared to go outdoors and gather things from the grounds at Trinity Woods. Cancellation Policy
COSEW General Policy for Cancellations/Refunds: The amount paid for a workshop/class may be applied to a future workshop/class or applied to COSEW as a tax-deductible donation. Retreats: The deposit for retreats is non-refundable. The remaining balance is refundable if cancelled at least 5 days before the beginning of the retreat.
