A Silent Saturday provides a couple hours each month that are set aside for Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, spiritual teaching and reflection. There are currently two monthly and one quarterly events available. The events are free and do not require pre-registration, however we appreciate any donations (yellow link on this page).

First Saturday of every month - now returning to in-person (LIVE) as the pandemic allows. Your group leaders are Kathryn Ann Kobelinski, and Lynn Holland.
This is a morning of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Two 25-minute sits and Lectio Divina (monastic style) with sharing followed by a 20-minute sit. Come for part of the morning or the entire morning, as your schedule allows.
Each time you participate in the Silent Saturday program through COSEW, consider a monthly or an annual donation. This is a morning of Centering Prayer from 9:00 to 11:00 am with two 25 minute sits. The prayer time is followed by a video (about 30-40 minutes) with conversation in response.

This is a quarterly event - second Saturday of every third month (dates following). Contemplative Outreach of Madison is inviting you to a scheduled ZOOM meeting or in-person (LIVE) Silent Saturday.
This year we will be trying a hybrid format so people can join in person (as above) or by Zoom (contingent on the COVID conditions at the time of the event).
We will begin at 10:00 AM Central Time. We will be having two 20-minute periods of prayer, although this could change later in the year if we meet in person.

We will be returning to our pre-pandemic practice of having
three 20-minute periods of prayer.
You are welcome to join us for one, two or all three. Between the sits we will be having a short meditative walk for those meeting in person at the church. If you are joining by Zoom, we encourage you to do whatever prayerful silent act that feels right to you between the prayer periods.
We hope you can come join us for this communal practice of a method of prayer that has roots all the way back to the Desert Fathers and Mothers of early Christian monasticism.
