Event Description

Fr. Thomas Keating and two other Trappist monks, Fathers William Meninger and Basil Pennington, developed Centering Prayer in response to Vatican II’s call to revive the contemplative teachings of early Christianity and present them in updated formats. Centering Prayer is a Christian form of meditation that serves as a method of movement into contemplative prayer. It is a powerful way to open ourselves and invite the Spirit’s healing, support, inspiration, and guidance into our everyday lives, leading us to become better able to love, work with and serve others.
